DICE Stops Work On DLC To Fix Battlefield 4

Infinity Gaming Media

It comes of no surprise really to hear this news. Since the game was released it’s been met with lots of negative criticism about it’s online performance and buggy gameplay and today EA & DICE have announced that work on future DLC packs has been haulted until the base game and the new expansion China Rising are in better working order.

Mostly issues have been network connectivity related  but there has been reports of save files either going missing or being corrupted. Then the game has also being plagued with bugs such as the notorious gun glitch that many have encountered for example.

EA’s Official Statement:

“First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4. We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game – it is absolutely our #1 priority. The team at DICE is working…

(PIC) Africa’s most forbidden photograph

In an attempt to assert its stance over the recent security mayhem prohibiting any media from publishing pictures of Jacob Zuma’s Nkandla homestead, this morning Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa, under the instruction of State Security Minister Siyabonga Cwele, issued a warrant of arrest against City Press editor, Ferial Haffajee.

News of Haffajee’s arrest, reminiscent to acts executed during the old apartheid regime, has send waves of shock, anger and disbelief across news rooms, with SANEF deeming it as illegal and downright unconstitutional.

“In a country that presents itself as liberal and democratic, a country where the right to information and freedom of speech is enshrined on its constitution, this happens? Is this Zimbabwe where journalists are arrested for writing truths about their pathetic government? This is shocking beyond measurable proportions, ” said one unpleasantly surprised SANEF member.

Sources close to the situation claims that the…

Can Zumba Cure Zombies?

Zombies and Stuff

Not necessarily a daft question, it deserves at least thirty seconds of your time.

Zumba has been hailed as a miracle dance of the century. We’ve had them before – remember the Tarantella? Of course you don’t. It was developed hundreds of years ago in Roman times down in the heel of Italy in response to what was supposed to be a poisonous spider, the Tarantula (you’ve heard of that, no doubt!). The Tarantella was an hysterical dance that allegedly cured the person of the poison from this spider’s bite. Probably not too far removed from Voodoo dances where the person enters a trance-like state.

Zumba ClassOf course we can explain all of this away by the release of endorphins, giving that feel-good sensation where exercise is essentially good for the body. Making you smile increases the effect.

Zumba is a mixture form of dance with elements taken from martial arts…

AMD R9 290X

Last month in September, AMD announced their new line up of graphics card for the year 2013 in Hawaii. There, they announced the “Titan-killer” a card that can beat Nvidia’s GTX Titan, the current fastest single GPU at a price point of $1000, calling it the R9 290X. The R9 290X is AMD’s new flagship card based off of their new 28 nm architecture code named Hawaii, replacing AMD’s last generation’s 28 nm Tahiti based HD Radeon 7970 GHz Edition.

Here are some Benchmarks and detailed overview by Paul, from Paul’s Hardware and NeweggTV, comparing the R9 290X against Nvidia’s GTX Titan and GTX 780.

The R9 290X is definitely a beast of a card. In some settings it can even beat the Titan, a card that costs $1000, and the 780, which costs $650. But the real question is: How much will the R9 290X be? Coming out at…
